“Analog Days” is a simple program to help restore balance, groundedness, presence, and sanity to our lives (and by extension, the world) by setting technology down and staying present to the physical world around us.Â
Â
On self-defined "Analog Days", community members will not use their cell phones or the internet. Instead, you'll go for walks, spend quality time with friends (without your phones), read, write, garden, draw, make things, write letters, meditate, volunteer, or participate in mutual aid, etc. You’ll slow down and enjoy cooking nutritious meals or learning to cook them. You might host small, phone-free dinner parties. (When I lived in New York, I’d often host dinner parties where I’d only invite 2 or 3 friends, and I'd ask each of them to invite someone they thought I might like to meet. It was wonderful.)
Â
In our private community space, we’ll share ideas about what to do on our Analog Days, the challenges of disengaging with technology, and the wonderful, unexpected things that are sure to happen as you become more present to the world and create more space for the universe to have its way with you.
Â
This community program is free, with the option to donate.Â
(In the spirit of transparency: any community activity I offer requires me to spend quite a bit of time building tech automations and emails, as well as helping people with tech issues and a variety of other questions or issues. So any financial support you can give to help me devote some time to this would be greatly appreciated.)
